          6. Ford's brothers, Mark and Patrick, also played in the family band, "The Charles Ford Blues Band." Ford initially played the saxophone but switched to guitar at age 13. He was influenced by Mike Bloomfield, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis.

          At 18, Ford began his professional music career in his family band, which supported Charlie Musselwhite.

          They recorded the albums "The Charles Ford Band" and "Discovering the Blues." After the band disbanded, Ford joined "L.A. Express," a popular jazz fusion band.
