Carl De Keyzer (27 December 1958) is a Belgian photographer.
Carl Abraham Mankell was born on 16 April in Christiansfeld in Southern Jutland, Denmark, and died on 27 October in Stockholm.
Major subjects in his work have included the collapse of the Soviet Union, and India. He became a full member of Magnum Photos in 1994. De Keyzer has exhibited his work in many European galleries and has received several awards, including the Book Award from Rencontres d'Arles, the W.
Eugene Smith Award and the Kodak Award.[1]
Career
De Keyzer was born on 27 December 1958,[2] in Kortrijk, Belgium.[3] His freelance career began in 1982, at which time he also taught at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Ghent, Belgium.[3] During this time, he co-founded the XYZ-Photography Gallery.
